I am Donna McKinney, I work at Curtis Elementary in Weatherford TX. I am the teacher for our after school program. We have kids grade kindergarten to 6th grade in our after school program. Post 4695 and Ladies Aux sponsor our kids with money for supplies and other items not furnished. Some of the projects we do include: write letters and cards to soldiers overseas, we provide cards and pictures to Meals on Wheels patients and visit veterans and patients at a local nursing home. That is just a few things. I will from time to time send you different pictures of activities we are doing if you want me to. These first few are kids making valentines to send to 3 different men in Iraq.
The top picture below is of our newest project: making cards for the Veterans who are now living at the new Patriot House for Homeless Veterans.
