Subject:  REPORTING to the DISTRICT CHAPLAIN; Who, How & When.

WHO & WHEN: Report to me any post line officers (veterans) who are ill or who have died at your earliest opportunity. Any other post members who are veterans should be reported to your post chaplain. Any post auxiliary members should be reported to your post ladies or men’s auxiliary chaplain.  Any post ladies auxiliary line officers should be reported to your District Ladies Auxiliary Chaplain.

DEATHS:  Report when the veteran died and if the funeral or memorial is pending or not.  Give name and home address if different or not available in the district (white) phone book.

 REPORT ALL POST DECEASED, (VETERANS) for the year to me in one list on or about May 1, for the District Memorial Meeting (third meeting).  It is my duty & honor to read all of the names on your list at that meeting.  EVERY VETERAN has EARNED THE RIGHT to be remembered at the MEMORIAL MEETING.

ILLNESSES:   For illnesses report whether the veteran is at home or in the hospital.  Include what the illness is (if known) and how he (or) she is progressing. Give name and home address if different or not available in the district (white) phone book
