From: Jim Lacker
Dear Comrades and Auxiliaries, We have a request from Tarrant Veterans Services to provide a Christmas meal for the homeless Veterans that they serve. Post # 4695 provided a Holliday meal for these displaced Veterans at Thanksgiving last year, but with the new “Liberty House” opening, there are many more to feed this year. For this reason I am asking all posts of District 21 to consider contributing $80-$100 (if possible) to the cause of providing this meal. It will catered, with a probable cost of $8 per plate, and feeding up to 200 of our homeless Veterans. Click this link to watch a video of what Tarrant Veterans Services (Veterans Services is the part of the VA which takes care of our homeless Vets Nation wide), Please let me know of your intentions on this matter by November 15th, and if you decide to support this cause, then have the money to Jim Van Rite (District Jr. Vice Commander) by no later than December 1. Thankfully your Comrade
